Therapists

Saskia ten Brinke
Shiatsu and Mensendieck
Until 2004 I worked as an industrial engineer for organisations in the Netherlands and abroad. During that time I discovered that care based on attention and respect suits me better. Alongside my work and my growing family I studied at the Amsterdam School for Iokai Shiatsu. To deepen my knowledge of movement and posture, I then completed the Mensendieck exercise therapy programme (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences).
In 2004 I started my own practice, and I still enjoy the work every day. What I like most is tailoring treatment to the very different people who come to me, always looking for the right balance between effort and relaxation.
I also specialise in dizziness, such as BPPV and PPPD. The Dizziness Knowledge Centre of Gelre hospitals lists me as one of 17 therapists in Amsterdam you can turn to with dizziness.

Jorg Nienhaus
Acupuncture and physiotherapy
After studying business administration and communication science I worked in Indonesia for a while and then for many years in business. Severe back problems, resolved after more than ten years by tuina and acupuncture, sparked my interest in the human body. I trained as an acupuncturist and tuina therapist at the Shenzhou Open University of TCM (tuina is the Chinese form of physiotherapy), and as a physiotherapist at THIM University of Applied Sciences. I am a registered arthritis therapist.
Since 2006 I have worked full time as a therapist. I have a particular interest in back, neck and shoulder complaints, and in more complex chronic complaints where Western and Chinese medicine complement each other.
Registrations and professional associations
